Tekla is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Tekla brings both personal and professional experience to her work with clients. As a former IVF patient herself, she understands the process can be stressful and overwhelming. Going through IVF can feel like an all-consuming process. She believes that having a support system, such as therapy, can make things more manageable. Besides working with IVF clients, Tekla treats a variety of individual and couples mental health needs including, but not limit to; trying to conceive, fertility issues, surrogacy/GC, egg/sperm/embryo donations, anxiety, pregnancy loss, grief, relationship issues, and couples counseling.
Tekla received her undergraduate education from Paul Smith’s College, Plattsburgh State University and Barcelona College of Chiropractic. She has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from NorthCentral University. Tekla has additional certification and training in Fertility Counseling & Pregnancy Loss.
